This week, we are blooming roses. Before you roll your eyes, hear me out. I’ve just discovered that some large blooms of roses are not actually the real thing. Yes, I am slow in this… Instead they are painstakingly handcrafted blooms wrapped tightly with floral tape to create a single bloom effect.
I first spotted them on With This Ring which had a link to a simple tutorial over at Kuga Designs. Be forewarned, it is a simple tutorial but tricky once you get your hands ‘dirty’. This is probably one of those that needs a whole deal of practice to be perfect sorta thing.
