Some dubbed them bloomer shorts, bubble shorts or diaper shorts even……love them or hate them, these bottoms are really sweeping Summer 09. I confess that I’m a convert too. (To me, shorts are only for wakeboarding sessions.) To beat the heat these days, I have been living in a pair of green harem shorts from our store and a junk food Rolling Stones tee.

Designer crush Alex Wang’s Resort 2010 (above) shows how to wear these shorts so the get-ups scream downtown chic. We think the key is in the shoes. Ditch those flip-flops.
