Trends Report – Fall 08/09!!~

This Fall, the bohemian look continues to lead the runway since Spring, with new styles and silhouettes evolving from last season’s collections. Besides boho’s iconic normadic and floral prints, we also see the reappearance of checked and animal prints this year. These major prints from the Fall’s collections create the latest styles for this season – bohemian, rock, schoolgirl and masculine. Lots of rich fabric like satin, velvet, chiffon, lace and sheen materials are seen at the catwalks, sculpted into Fall’s important silhouettes: Barrel, I-line (slim), X-line (fit and flare) and Y-line. Autumn/Winter must have items include mountain vest, tailored jacket, checked dress, bohemian dress, moco moco shorts, high-waist bottom, leggings, boots, berets, fur hat and rock accessories. We shall zoom in on each item to highlight the best of the individual items.

This Fall’s rising trend patterns are Block Checks and Dalmatian Prints. As we continue to see the comeback of tartan checks and animal prints this autumn/winter, it is block checks and dalmatian prints that dominate the scene this year.

The Rock Chick is in command this season. Be it girly rock, bohemian rock or just simple rock, you’ll find one that suits your style!! Power up your Fall’s rock style with a long fur vest or short tuxedo vest. If you haven’t gotten any of those, grab a black jacket from your boyfriend’s wardrobe to complete the look!!~
