This week was actually my little girl’s holidays. We did not plan to do much as my hubby was working the night shift for full 6days, starting last Sunday. But he did mention to me that he would like to spend time over this weekend together. So, we started brainstorming on the possible places to go and things to do.

Today, we spent the afternoon at Eric’s baby full month celebrations. He stays very near me and we just strolled over to his place, under the light drizzling rain. His baby is named Wei Ting. A very sweet and chubby little girl who weighted almost 4kgs at birth. She was born by Cesarean at KK Hospital and the poor little girl was diagnosed with dislocated hips. When we saw her, both legs were pinned to the sides (open legged position) and there was an adjustable support brace that started from the shoulders all the way to her feet to support the dislocated legs. Xiao Juan, the tedious mommy told us that the doctor estimate the legs to fully recover only after 4 or 5 months. I think its good that they found out early. Such cases, if untreated pass 2 years, may need to undergo surgery.

Then by evening time, we narrowed down our plans to either bowling or a visit to Night Safari. I showed my little girl the pictures of both places via the internet and she chose to visit the Night Safari! So off we went and we all enjoyed the tribal show, tram ride, a walk on one of the many trails and the companion of each other. However, this visit is not easy on our wallets. We spent $40 on food and drinks, $85 on the entrance and tram, $9 for rental of a stroller, $20 for a souvenir photograph and $3.90 for the parking. Total was $148.90… I think one visit is enough.. enough to make me poor… Sigh.. But anyway, we really enjoyed our time together as a family today.. Paying such a high price, I hope we created fond memories today…
