Yeah.. I know everyone loves a sob story.. Here’s a pain story..

I have been through a birthing before, but as they says.. Each birth is totally different. This time round, my tolerance for physical pain has diminished a lot. Personally I feel that its because of a lack of support from the person who matters most to me.. Without the support, care, concern and love.. I felt unable to go through all those pain..

For my first child, I had NO PAINKILLERS DURING THE BIRTH, NO PAINKILLERS AFTER THE BIRTH AND I TOOK 2 MONTHS TO LEARN HOW TO BREASTFEED AMIDST BROKEN AND BLEEDING NIPPLES… And, I went on to breastfeed for 2 years, with my daughter growing up, NOT knowing how to use a bottle and pacifier…

4 years on.. I had epidural during the birth, with topups to the painkiller as the contractions intensified, had paracetamol and ponstan after the birth, had pain at the stitches area down under, had pains from nipple cracks and bleeds.. On top of that, I had giddiness, itchiness, vomiting, fever, backaches, neckaches and headaches..

Its already been 10days and things are improving alot. I stopped taking ponstan as I noticed that baby sleeps alot and a search online says that ponstan causes drowsiness AND WILL ENTER THE BREASTMILK!~! Oh.. Why did the hospital prescribe it to me? I did tell them i intend to breastfeed exclusively.. Did you know epidural causes drowsiness in babies too?? Thats why my baby was sleeping so soundly during the first 3days… Vomiting and giddiness faded when the epidural got out of my system.

I stopped taking paracetamol too, except when I had a fever yesterday and when physical pain becomes intolerable. The headache, neckache, and backache are still there. The stitches down under are healing too.. I can actually cross my legs when I sat down!~ I can even climb on chairs to retrive things from shelves!~! But I dun dare to run, jump or walk very fast.. Its a mental issue. I am sure the stitches are fine, but I am scared that I will hurt if I do strenous activities.. Now the nipples are healing better and faster with the help of Palmer’s Nursing Butter..

Now, my aim is to make my body pain-free by next friday.. 2 weeks from the actual birth.. All the best to me..
